        Mother’s Day Birding & Wildflower Festival
                        Saturday and Sunday, May 10 & 11, 2014
                                           10:00 am - 4:00 pm
    LOCATION: South Falls Lodge and surrounding day use area
    WHAT: Learn about the native plants, wildflowers, and birds that fill Silver Falls’
    temperate rainforest. Join guided walks, family hikes, and children's activities. Enjoy
    live raptors and wildflower displays. Purchase native plants. Visit local wildlife
    organizations.

    Park
    COST: $5.00 per vehicle day use fee. No other fees.

       State Parks Day, Silver Falls Challenge Foot Race
                                         Saturday, June 7, 2014
                                            10:00 am - 4:00 pm
    LOCATION: South Falls Lodge and surrounding day use area
    WHAT: Begin the day with a dash over the creek and through the woods. Take
    advantage of free camping in regular tent and RV campsites. Day Use is free
    on Saturday.
    SPONSORED BY: Oregon State Parks, Silver Falls State Park, Friends of Silver
    Falls and Silverton Runners Club.
    COST: Free. Regular campsites are FREE. (Reservations: call 1-800-452-5687).
    Registration fee required for foot race.

    know today as Silver Falls State Park has a colorful history. Join us for
    demonstrations, displays, and games that bring history to life.

    LOCATION: Silver Falls State Park Old Ranch
    WHAT: Join park staff and astronomy club members for a night of stargazing.
    Learn about constellations, nebulas, and other heavenly sights. Meet them up close
    through telescopes.

    WHAT: Join in various country Christmas time crafts - make a wreath, a gingerbread
    house, cards, and ornaments. Learn how the park changes during the winter. Enjoy
    storytelling and live music.
