Amphitheater

The amphitheater in the campground is used for interpretive programs primarily in the summer months. It is uncovered and lacks storage space for supplies. We aim to upgrade the campground amphitheater to provide a welcoming space and extend the season of campground programs. We are in the planning/fundraising stage of this project. More info to come!

Museum in the Stone Kitchen Shelter

The Stone Kitchen Shelter is located in the South Fall Historic District and is an artifact in itself dating back to 1936. The Civilian Conservation Corps constructed this building of sandstone found in the within five miles of the current park boundaries. Ancient marine fossils can be seen within the walls of this remarkable structure. For years it has been underutilized, but not for much longer! Plans are in the works to create an interactive museum where visitors can learn about the history and transformations Silver Falls has undergone.

We are accepting donations in memory of our late Board Member, Tom Dill. Tom spent many hours at Silver Falls as a Trail Ambassador, Nature Store Volunteer, and supporter of the preservation of the Stone Kitchen Shelter. He and his wife were at every event at the park helping and spreading good camaraderie. He served on the Board of Directors, often offering a fresh point of view. All donations in memory of Tom will be used for the preservation and restoration of the Stone Kitchen Shelter.

Goal: $100,000
